PULAU UBIN
ubin island is only less then 15 minutes away from singapore island… it is considered one of the islands in singapore yet it feels so different being there… everything starts from…
the beach…
the vehicals…
the mess…
the jetty…
the letter box…
the house…
the windows…
the door…
the animal…
the bikes and the drinks…
the floating jetty…
the sinking boat…
the outside…
the inside…
and the forest…
i felt as if i was far away from singapore while i was there… the air smells different, the people interact differently and the space felt “free”… “free” from the constraints of high rise buildings and the entire concrete world vanishes from your sight… “free” from the technology and so called civilized city life…
cycling through the forest tracks and listening to the breeze is something long lost in a city…
multi-cultural ubin island is… rich elements like muslim tombs, chinese temple and thai temple filled this island!!!
