Hello everyone, this is the first look of the year and I hope you like it. In this look, I will be featuring the new Shu Uemura Eyeshadow Trio in Light from their Celestial Garden Makeup Collection For Spring 2012. You can find out more about this collection here and swatches of all the Eyeshadow Trios here.
Nail colour by Chanel – 539 June.
For face: For this look, I wanted a very natural and luminous canvas to work on so I combined a thin layer of Shu Uemura Stage Performer Instant-Glow Immediate Radiance Skin Perfecting Cream with another thin layer of Chanel Perfection Lumiére Long-Lasting Flawless Fluid Makeup SPF 10 on top. Because I have a slightly more oily T-zone, I dusted some Chanel Pureté Mat Shine Control Powder SPF 15 down the center of my face very lightly – I still want that glow peeping through. I also used the Chanel Éclat Lumiére Highlighter Face Pen under my eyes and parts of my face to highlight.
For eyes: Filled in my brows but lighter than usual. Apply an eyeshadow base and went in straight with the pale yellow shade from Shu Uemura Eyeshadow Trio in Light all over the lids, including the inner corners of my eyes. I applied the brown shade on the center of my lids and applied the green shade to the outer corners of my eyes. I also applied the green around my eye contour area – you don’t have to do that if you want this look to be more wearable.
I used a black eyeliner to line my upper inner water line to create an invisible eyeliner, applied mascara to top and bottom lashes and put on some false eyelashes. Towards the end of this look, I thought it would be kind of nice to include a pair of false eyelashes from Paperself – the pair I am using here is Small Peach Blossom.
For cheeks & lips: I applied a small amount of Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge for Lips & Cheeks in Cabo Coral 21 on the apples of my cheeks and blend upwards, towards the highest point of my cheek bones. To intensify the colour, I lightly dusted Shu Uemura Glow-On Blush in M Medium Peach 561 (not pictured below) over but just on the highest point of my cheek bones – close to the green eyeshadow. Simple lips to finish the look, I went for Shu Uemura Rouge Unlimited Supreme Shine in SS BG 957.
Thank you for looking.
