  • Dermatologist-Tested

My Thoughts

This makeup base is creamy and smooth. It is extremely easy to apply, it spreads over and melts into the skin like butter. Like what the product claims to do, it helps minimize the appearance of pores to create a dewy finish.

However, I feel that this product lacks in the oil-control department. I have tried it with a matte finish foundation but I feel that my T-zone still gets shiny a little faster than usual. If you have a less oily T-zone, this might work wonders for you. During testing, I also tried avoiding my T-zone entirely, applying the product only on other areas of concern around my cheeks – it works a lot better but my main concern is still, my nose area.

I wish that this product has better oil-control because I really like the texture and consistency.

Will I Purchase Clé de Peau Beauté Smoothing Base For Pores in full size?

No, I like it but I don’t love it enough to purchase it in full size. I don’t think I will go that extra mile to use a mattifying foundation and powder just for this primer.

This is part of my Sample Testing Series where I try samples and answer the final question – learn more about the series here.

Introducing Shiseido White Lucent Brightening Skincare Powder

Shiseido White Lucent Brightening Skincare Powder is a whitening powder enriched with m-Tranexamic Acid, this exclusive skincare step effectively reduces the appearance of dark spots, leaving skin naturally vibrant and silky smooth. Applied after moisturizer, the delicate powder spreads gently over skin, indulging with a relaxing scent and velvety soft texture.

This product is recommended for all skin types and targets persistent spots where over-active melanocytes continuously produce excess melanin. The Shiseido White Lucent Brightening Skincare Powder contains Radiance Maximizing Powder controls surrounding lights, promoting a naturally clear and vibrant complexion. It is also developed with Hydro-Synergy Complex which supplies moisture.

7 WAYS TO USE THE MAGIC POWDER

  • Apply it over your foundation, as a finishing powder
  • Use powder to add a smooth texture to your sunscreen
  • Try it as a summer body powder on your neck and hands to minimize UV-related pigmentation
  • Put it on after your makeup base for a smoother layer beneath your foundation
  • Apply it when warm weather makes moisturizers and creams feel greasy
  • Dust your décolletage with it to make sure your chest looks its best
  • Wear it on its own when you don’t feel like applying makeup

The Shiseido White Lucent Brightening Skincare Powder is not a new product and it’s not in their permanent range either. Seems like Shiseido only produces a limited quantity each year. It was available last year and was sold out relatively quickly.

I happen to stumble upon a few leftovers at DFS Singapore last year, for those who will be traveling out of Singapore, you might want to try your luck at the airport.

For the rest of us – those who wishes to try and those who wants to purchase another one, the Shiseido White Lucent Brightening Skincare Powder will be available again this year. It will be released island-wide on White Day 14 March 2012 and it will be priced the same as last year, at S$75 for 25g of product, made in Japan.
