Clinique & Drink Culture Presents Honeylicious Seductions

To celebrate the launch of the coveted new, limited edition makeup collection, The New Black (find out more about the collection here), Clinique have teamed up with Ethan Leslie Leong, master mixologist at Drink Culture to specially create two limited edition drinks: Honeylicious and Seductions.

Inspired by Clinique’s unique Black Honey hue, an iconic berry shade that appears different on everyone, yet flattering on all, these drinks were concocted to showcase the versatility of Black Honey. So whether you’re in the mood for something revitalizing and sweet or something sensual and aromatic, these drinks are sure to stimulate your taste buds in the right way.

Honeylicious is a tantalizing mocktail which boasts a delicate balance of refreshing sweetness that will leave you feeling brand new. I had this and it’s really refreshing especially during the hot afternoon. Kept me wanting for more. Seductions will seduce your senses due to its uniqueness. Its lifting lavender fragrance will have you sipping it down to the very last drop of honey and will leave you wistful for more.

Honeylicious Seductions drinks will be available at Drink Culture until 5 October so if you want to try one, just pop by.

I think no one can describe Drink Culture better than the founders themselves.

Drink Culture stands apart from other concept bars by offering unparalleled experiences; it starts with VIP treatment, premium champagnes, fine spirits, customized cocktails, and is complemented by models and artistic décor.

Drink Culture is warm and cosy, a great place to hang out with friends.

The event started off with a dance performance followed by the main highlight of the evening – a makeup demonstration by Larry Yeo.

Larry Yeo, Elle Singapore’s Makeup Artist of the Year 2009 has created two makeup looks inspired by The New Black collection.

We have the Black Honey Princess on the left and Black Honey Dark Angel on the right.

During the makeover, Larry proved how versatile Clinique’s latest limited edition colour collection, The New Black is by transforming a fresh day-time look into a sultry evening look.

He also mentioned that this Fall’s trend is all about being glamorous and that The New Black colour range is all about monochromatic tones – it’s not about showing the colours but shaping the features. You can view the videos Iris took during the event here.

I find the blush application tip that Larry shared very useful. He applied the blush under the model’s cheek bones and blend the colour upwards. This created a double effect of sculpted cheeks with a touch of colour to the apples. I really like the finished look on the model. And her dress of course.

A closer look at the completed Black Honey Dark Angel look Larry created.

Sneak peek at The New Black Makeup Collection by Clinique this Fall.

Iris had a mini makeover by Larry using products from The New Black collection. Sophia and I had a go with the Black Honey Lip Gloss as it was irresistably beautiful.

A picture with the beautiful model – she is very tall.

I had a really wonderful evening with both Iris and Sophia at the event.

We were all wearing the Superbalm Moisturizing Lip Gloss in Black Honey in the picture below. The legendary Black Honey hue that appears different on everyone, yet flattering on all? Oh yes.

Iris had the Black Honey Lip Gloss over her light pink lipstick, I had mine applied on bare lips with a lip brush and Sophia had hers dabbed on with her fingers.

A huge “thank you” to those working behind this event and Clinique, it was a great success – and thank you for having us.

Thank you for reading and have a wonderful Saturday night ahead.

  1. hi Joey,
I went to Tangs last nite to buy the Black Honey lip gloss and blush after reading about them on Iris’ blog 🙂 Just cannot miss them as they are LE 🙂 The lipgloss is really unique. I also have the Black Honey Almost Lipstick which I bought from Nordstrom.com. Love all these items! 🙂

  2. The blush does seem a little dark but I think I’ll try the application method by Larry Yeo as described by in your post 🙂

Actually, I was afraid the items may be OOS already as I was there quite late, close to 9pm! 😛 I had to wait quite a long time as both SAs were engaged 😦 Nevertheless the friendly SA and the availability of the items made up for the wait 🙂

Yup, the SA told me they only have 12 tubes of the lip gloss for sale at their counter, so I was really lucky I managed to get one 🙂 I think the lipgloss is not available in US cos I was looking at Nordstrom.com and I didn’t see that listed…

    • Great!!
I thought the blush was dark too but it is really great for sculpting – not dark at all!!
Can’t wait to explore the collection myself..
Yes, very limited stock for the gloss and I am happy you got one =)
      Enjoy..
